Warner, Kaine, Hurt Announce $48,100 For Pittsylvania Police Vehicles

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine and U.S. Representative Robert Hurt announced that the towns of Chatham and Gretna will receive $48,100 in U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) grants and loans for the purchase of police vehicles.

The USDA awarded Community Facility Loans and Grants funding to the following towns:

  • Town of Chatham will receive a grant of $15,600
  • Town of Gretna will receive a loan of $21,200 and a grant of $11,300

In 2015, USDA Rural Development provided funding for ten police, fire or safety vehicles and related equipment throughout Virginia, which totaled $433,800.
