WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Tim Kaine released the following statement regarding the House passage of a bipartisan tax package that would expand the Child Tax Credit (CTC), help companies invest in research and development, and increase the Low Income Housing Tax Credit, which helps create affordable housing for low and middle income families:
“This bipartisan legislation combines three bills I’ve cosponsored—a tax credit to reduce child poverty, a housing tax credit to expand affordable housing for low and moderate income families, and a corporate research tax credit to spur innovation and create jobs. Let’s get it done in the Senate!”
