Kaine Statement On The Passing Of Cabell Brand

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine released the following statement on the passing of Cabell Brand:

“Cabell Brand was a champion of the poor and the underserved. His vision was for every child to have an education, enough food to eat, and the opportunity to contribute to society. He worked to make this vision a reality by founding Total Action for Progress, which has helped lift families in Virginia out of poverty for nearly 50 years. Mr. Brand’s humanity will leave a lasting legacy on the Roanoke Valley and the lives he touched across the Commonwealth.”
