Kaine Statement on Representative Wexton’s Parkinson’s Diagnosis

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine released the following statement regarding U.S. Representative Jennifer Wexton’s announcement that she has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease:

“Jennifer Wexton is a fighter. I’ve seen it running alongside her in 2018, and I’ve seen it serving Virginians alongside her in Congress as we’ve pushed for priorities like rebuilding our infrastructure, lowering costs, improving childhood cancer research, and passing commonsense gun safety reform. She is a passionate advocate, principled public servant, and wonderful colleague. I know she’s going to continue to be a strong fighter to battle Parkinson’s and to stand up for Virginia’s 10th district. I’m rooting for her every step of the way.”
