Kaine Statement On Passage Of Aid Package For Ukraine

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, released the following statement after the Senate approved a bipartisan aid package for Ukraine. 

“Passing this legislation sends a strong signal of support to the people of Ukraine, who are suffering from Russian aggression in clear violation of international norms. The package includes much-needed economic assistance for the people and government of Ukraine, as well as tough sanctions that target individuals in Russia responsible for corruption and violent crackdowns against peaceful protestors across the country.”

Kaine is also a cosponsor of a bipartisan resolution condemning Russian aggression in Ukraine.
