WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine released the following statement after a resolution recognizing May as Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month was passed by the Senate. Kaine is a co-sponsor of this resolution:

The influence of the AAPI community is present in the arts, sciences, Armed Forces, business community and so many other facets of American life. I am proud to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and recognize this community’s ongoing contributions to our nation.”
