Sen. Tim Kaine: Congress ‘Afraid To Vote On A War’

After the Paris attacks, President Obama said the U.S. would intensify the current campaign of airstrikes and arming and training moderate forces, but would not change its overall strategy against ISIS.

“We have the right strategy and we’re going to see it through,” Obama told reportersMonday during the closing conference of the G-20 summit. “What I do not do is take actions either because it is going to work politically or it is going to somehow, in the abstract, make America look tough or make me look tough.”

Democratic Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia, a member of the Senate Armed Services and Foreign Relations committees, speaks with Here & Now‘s Indira Lakshmanan about whether a more aggressive response is called for.
