FY 2024 Congressionally Directed Spending
The Senate Appropriations Committee accepted congressionally directed spending (CDS) requests for Fiscal Year 2024. Congressionally directed spending requests must adhere to the existing requirements in Rule XLIV of the Standing Rules of the Senate and additional reforms instated in FY 2022, which remain in place for FY 2024. Additionally, congressionally directed spending will be capped at one percent of all discretionary spending, and there is a ban on congressionally directed spending items to for-profit entities. Submission of a request to the committee does not guarantee funding.

All of Senator Kaine's congressionally directed spending requests were posted below by April 28, 2024. The deadline to submit applications for Fiscal Year 2024 was on March 10, 2023.
